At DLR, we are committed to ensuring that all our facilities are always in top-notch condition and ready for operation. Obviously, this applies to the air duct of our wind-thermal pilot plant as well. The air duct, which moves an impressive airflow of up to 19,000 cubic meters per hour, is powered by a specially designed radial fan whose blades efficiently dissipate excess heat. Our dear colleagues Carlos Campos Fernández and Alejandro Mesa Heredia have now awakened the air duct from its summer break after a thorough inspection and careful cleaning. In this way, we have ensured that our pilot plant is optimally prepared for the upcoming experiments and data collection.
